Thanks for the article from Adrian Waller

From babies to teenagers it is important to teach your children the tips that will keep them safe during there summer activities. The number one thing that kids forget to put on before they go outside is sunscreen. The higher the SPF the better chances of protecting their skin from getting sunburned. If they are going to be out for a long period of time it is best to apply several times throughout the day. If your activities include being around water like a community pool or a lake make sure they are able to swim or wearing a life jacket. Most community pools are not very deep so you should remind your kids not to dive or run around the pool. Another thing to remember is always have plenty of water for them to drink while they are playing outside. Kids that ride bikes need to make sure they have their helmet, knee and elbow pads on before taking off. If your children stay home by themselves during the day make sure that you have all the emergency numbers by the phone. Also if there is an ADT home security alarm, show your kids how to arm and disarm it. The most important thing that kids should know is never answer the door while home alone even if it is someone they know.
