As the summer continues onwards and autumn approaches, the time has come to shop for back to school supplies. I usually make an extensive list of supplies that I will need, from pens and markers, to notebooks and batteries, then find a convenient time to go shopping with both of my parents.
While I begin with a checklist of my own devising, I also make sure to check instructions from my school about any special items I might need (e.g. art supplies, poster boards, electronics) and add these to my check list.
Since there are usually many items on my back to school supply shopping list, and the three of us visit a number of stores, we are usually gone for most of the day. We leave in the morning, setting our adt alarm near Baltimore, and then first visit a wide variety of stores including office supply stores, department stores, ‘big-box’ stores, and supermarkets to get an idea of what items are on-sale.
We then make our rounds a second time to various stores, purchasing items and crossing them off my list. The process usually takes several hours, and we are exhausted but successful upon our return.
