This is what I told the Hyperborea discord. I mentioned earlier I was running my first game of Hyperborea tonight. I guess poring over the Hyperboria rules for the past 6 years has really helped. Tonight I ran my first game and that is about the smoothest I've ever had a first game run. Even my less experienced players didn't struggle too much with descending AC. It eas pretty easy for me on my side of the screen to keep the numbers straight too. I've heard for years descending AC was the devil. I play in one game and at the DMs house there is even a sign hung up on the wall of his game room that says "Thou Shalt Not THAC0". Which is our short hand for descending AC is awful and anyone who uses it is awful. WELL THATS NOT TRUE! Anyway, I had a blast, my players had a blast, and it has now become our official game for when we are missing players. We have 2 more weeks of games coming and I can't wait!! Thanks for the help and advice everyone.
Tonight's game went great. It was Eric, Joy, Marvelee and Bryce at the table. They found the farms with the missing kids. Checked out the peat moss hut. Then found the witch in the woods. Bryce's character agreed to sleep with her, so they got escorted to Dagon's mound. They found some magic armor, fought some demons, and that's where we ended the night. I can't wait to play again.
